AUDIE’S RESTAURANT ENCOURAGES DONATIONS

IN SUPPORT OF TANYA HARTMAN

FOR BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

Mackinaw City, Michigan—September 27, 2023.  Audie’s Restaurant in Mackinaw City is turning pink during the month of October to raise funds for Tanya Hartman, a dear friend, long time employee, boss, wife, and mother in support of her fight against inflammatory breast cancer.  Tanya was diagnosed in December of 2022 with Stage 3b inflammatory breast cancer, a type of invasive ductal carcinoma which tends to be more aggressive than more common types of breast cancer.  Tanya is fighting back!  She has completed 5 months of chemotherapy, a bi-lateral mastectomy, and is now receiving radiation therapy 5 days per week.  100% of your donation will support Tanya  during her treatment.  Tanya faces ongoing medical, transportation, and daily living expenses as she and her family focus on her treatment and her cure.

Breast cancer affects one in eight women in the United States every year and 2.3 million women worldwide.  About 85% of breast cancers occur in women who have no family history of breast cancer.  Regular breast self-exams, an annual exam by your doctor and yearly mammograms are important for discovering breast cancer early.
